SharePoint's smart recycle bin

When your SharePoint users put a file in the recycle bin and then empty the recycle bin, the file is not permanently deleted from the system yet. The manager of the SharePoint site has indeed his own recycle bin wherein all deleted files end up. So, it is he whom decides in the end whether a file should be permanently deleted or not. After 30 days or when the recycle bin takes up more than 50% of the allocated disk space, the manager's recycle bin is automatically emptied.
